Double Chocolate Cookie Recipe (Inspired by Tanya Burr)

double chocolate cookie recipe

Prep time: 25 mins

Cook time: 13 mins

Makes: 18

Ingredients:

300g sugar
200g unsalted butter
1 egg
325g self raising flour
150g white chocolate
150g milk chocolate
splash of milk

Method

1. Preheat your oven to 180C/350F.

2. Next, whisk the butter and sugar until it's pale and creamy. Then add the egg and mix thoroughly.

3.Now, add the flour, a bit at a time until it's all mixed together. If the mixture is too doughy, add a splash of milk, however if it too thick add a touch more flour.

4. Then break up your bars of chocolate in to chunks and add them to the mixture. ( I used Dairy Milk and Milkybar). Mix in the chocolate with your hands and make sure the chocolate is evenly spread throughout the mixture.

5. Roll the mixture into medium size balls, and place them quite far apart on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper ( so they don't merge together or stick to the tray).

6.  Bake for 11 -13 minutes. I know this doesn't seem long, but once they have cooled they turn out so gooey on the inside!

7. Done! Once cooled they are ready to eat. Enjoy!
