Easy Summer Festival Makeup

It's festival season and what better time for a chance to explore different styles of makeup. So here is my version of a festival look. Simple but eye-catching, it is sure to brighten up your festival experience.
Easy Summer Festival Makeup
MAX FACTOR FACE FINITY PRIMER - I apply this first, all over my face, straight after my skincare - mainly to help my makeup stay on my face throughout the day. But, I also find it gives my skin a smooth base before foundation.

KIKO HIGHLIGHTER STICK - Next, to give my face some "inner glow".  I applied this cream stick highlighter from Kiko to my cheekbones and blended it in with my hands. It gives a beautiful dewy look under your foundation that helps to keep the glow for the whole day.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE MATTE FOUNDATION - For this look, I then applied the L'oreal infallible matte foundation with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I have to say this is one of my favourite foundations. It stays on well throughout the day and makes your skin look flawless, whilst mattifies a little as well.

URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTION 'EDEN'- For bolder looks I like to do my eye makeup before continuing with my face makeup and I cannot do makeup without eyeshadow primer(seriously it's impossible). So, I apply this all over my lid and set with a white or skin coloured powder. This is one of my faves as I find it keeps my eyeshadow going strong after anything.

THEBALM NUDE TUDE - Yes, another TheBalm product. I promised myself I need to use this palette more, so here is me standing by my promise. I started with the shade "Sultry" lightly in the crease, followed by "Sleek" in the outer corner. Then, of course I blended it out. Then, I applied "Stubborn" with my finger on the lid.

MAKEUP GEEK FOILED EYESHADOW 'IN THE SPOTLIGHT' - I applied this with my finger too which I find gives the most pigment. Also for future reference THIS EYESHADOW IS AMAZING. A gorgeous pale pinky coral eyeshadow with INCREDIBLE pigment. Honestly the best I have ever come across. I then applied 'Sassy' from The Nude Tude palette in my inner corner

MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA- A recent discovery of mine but I have quickly fallen in love. Amazing for length and volume and only needs one layer! One of the best I have tried.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS DIPBROW - A very, very popular brow product, and rightly so.  I apply this with a small angled brush and perfect, defined brow is formed. It is one of the few brow products that doesn't leave you brow-less at the end of the day.

RIMMEL WAKE ME UP CONCEALER - Definitely, one of my favourite concealers! Great for everyday use because although it gives fairly light coverage it is enough to (just about) cover my dreaded under eye circles.

MAC MINERALISE SKINFINISH NATURAL - A beautiful setting powder, although fairly expensive the MSF's from MAC give somewhat of a different finish to anything else I have tried. They don't give you a cakey finish and are not flattening on the face - A winner in my eyes.

BENEFIT HOOLA BRONZER - Next to warm up the face with another favourite of mine. Not too orange or overly pigmented. Hoola is easy to use and you can easily contour with it. Whenever I need a quick bronze this is the one I turn to. A definite all rounder for me.

THEBALM HOT MAMA BLUSH - A gorgeous coral/pink toned blush that needs more recognition. Having a unique dust of gold glitter running through it and a main pink tone makes it iridescent in sunlight and looks beautiful on the cheeks to give a flush of pinky, coral colour.

THEBALM MARY LOU MANIZER - Of course, no makeup look would be complete without highlighter. My definite favourite and any highlight lovers dream, Mary Lou! VERY pigmented and creamy and just, well, perfect. Honestly all you can ask for in a highlighter.

RIMMEL EXAGGERATE LIPLINER - I apply this all over my lips, and the shade 'Eastend Snob' is a beautiful one from Rimmel. A lovely baby pink shade with a slight hint of nude. Looks gorgeous with any look and stays on a long time.

L'OREAL INFALLIBLE SETTING SPRAY - Another recent discovery but I have to say as far as setting sprays go this is pretty darn good. An essential step for keeping makeup on especially at an event like this.I spray about 4 sprays all over my face to keep my makeup looking good all day. I love it.
